Paige, while reading "Jane's World" I am reminded of how entertaining and
enlightening the simplest experiences in life can be.  Your characters are
refreshing in that they reflect a "realness" and groundedness that rarely
exist in the world of corporate enterprise. (So, yes, I do read it at work
sometimes....) "Jane's World" offers a retreat from the world of what
"should be" and allows me to simply enjoy what is.   Thanks for letting Jane's World
unobtrusivly collide with mine.  Gotta go get my dog a tattoo...p

Love the strip, the characters, the whole mix...thank you and please don't
ever stop.

Sheila.
P.S. Next time Jane's away, I'll dog sit for Rusty, no problem! He's a cutie.

Just wanted to praise your comic, Jane's World. It's great!! Very different, something I would write myself (if I wrote comics). :) I just wish it was in my local newspaper! Thanks for creating such a cool, edgey comic.

Hi,
I love your comic strip and bought your first book from Plan 9. Do you
have any plans for more books? I'll keep checking Plan 9 for more.
Thanks for all the fun!

Hey Paige,

Just writing to say hi. I finally was able to get to the archives page and look around. I need to really get into it, though, because I think I am about 5 months behind. But the recent one where Jane gets hit by lightning and then talks about having Farrah hair...I was laughing my butt off. I don't remember if my hair was short or long when we met, but last summer it was pretty long and my friends all called it Farrah hair. :) Thank God it's gone...wasn't a good look for me either. ;)

Hope you are doing well. TTFN, Beth

Hi,

I'm reading your current story line about Jane loosing her dog. I'm concerned that you're not portraying her responsibly enough.

I know this is just a comic strip, but I think you shoud portray Jane putting flyers of her dog up, calling animal control to find out if anyone's turned in her dog and looked in the paper or other areas for found dog adds.

In most places, animal shelters are overcrowded so the animals can only be kept a couple of days before they go up for adoption. Most places I've seen will keep an animal for three days to give the owner a chance to reclaim it. If after that time, no one has claimed the animal it goes up for adoption. If it's too crowded and no one adopts the animal shortly thereafter, the animal is killed to make room for the new arrivals.

I think you should portray Jane being a responsible pet owner and calling her local shelter to see if Rusty is there.

Thank you,

Vania

Errrgh! I just tried getting to the comic via janesworld.com, only to
find - well, I think it was lots of stuff about forcibly removing my
body fat, but I didn't hang around long enough to find out. I *like*
my body fat - it's taken me ages to grow it this big :-).

Oh, and great comic btw - I've been following it since it first hit the
'net.

Just wanted to drop note and say your comic is refreshingly funny. It's good to see another person in this world with the name Chelle. (even spelled the same)of course I'm a hell of a lot less uptight then her. (and I don't like to drink blood) keep up the good work!!! Oh, ne quick question, how much of your personality is projected on your character?

Keep up the good work!!

- Chelle
