Subject: Compliments from an Arse...

I saw the comic strip on comics.com and read the last
30 days of the Jane Bond flashback. It was recommended
by a coworker as a great comic strip. I was
disappointed it seemed like a replay of ?Goldfinger?
with lesbians.

I was however, very impressed by the cartoon once I
read some of the archived strips, as it gives a
variety of characters and view points, poking fun at
everyone indiscriminately where humor is due. I almost
brushed the strip off as being just a mediocre strip
sold on the angle of being about lesbianism.

It is far more than that, and I am definitely a big
fan now? very funny and insightful.

If that even matters coming from someone who kind of
insulted the whole last months dream sequence and who
more closely resembles Jane?s blockheaded male
roommate.

I?m not good with compliments, is that obvious?
Keep up the great work!

Dear Paige,
I was surprised and delighted to receive 5 issues of "Jane's
World" and a note with a drawing from the author. I devoured your
work cover to cover (and some great covers too), then went back
through to savor the artwork and many of the highlights. What a
hoot! I was ggrinning and chuckling to myself for days, like a kid
on a sugar high after Halloween. You've created a character that
everyone can see themselves in. A character that can, in a blink,
move from the everyday to the fantastic and not lose her audience.
One moment I hear Jane speaking my mind and the next, I find myself
envying her (and your) imagination. Thanks for your gift. It's been
a treat and an inspiration. I'm already finding my job at the studio
more fun. I'll keep up with Jane at comics.com and look forward to
our meeting again as I know we will.

Sincerely,
Larry

Dear Paige Braddock
Your cartoon is great, but I think a small error has occured: The
Alps are not in Sweden (Jane Bond followed Goldsinger to The Alps in
Sweden???).
Otherwise I think it is really cool to have so funny a cartoon with
a lesbian main carachter! It is not (yet) known in Denmark, but I do
my best to tell everybody about it;o)

Mrs Braddock,
I've been reading Jane's world for about a year now online. My local
paper has yet to carry it, nothing I can do about it, besides write
them asking them to pick them up. For most of the year I've found
the comic strip good solid, and funny. However, could you please
halt the recent "007" story line since it stinks! Its not funny, its
stupid! Look I don't have a beef with things being ripped off of the
mass media every now and then, but this 007 story line has really
got my goat so please STOP IT!

I hate to complain about something I'm getting for free, but this
goldsinger-storyline sucks. I have nothing against movie satires,
but without any humor or something to make it unique (besides a few
dykes and a guitar) it loses it's charm and turns into a stale
rip-off. Please don't do nothing like it again? I've been following
your strip only for a short while, but I did like the other stuff,
thanks.

Hi, just discovered your strip on comics.com (duh!). It's great to see a decidedly non-standard comic out there (what is it with the strips anyway that there are only two gay characters out there and only one is the main one?). Anyway, hope you're in the newspapers too and you've gotten only a few complaints.

God love you and Lynn Johnston. Wishing you much success from a non gender-specific (dating-wise) man who also deals with frustration and poverty (A.B.E./E.S.L. teacher.

First it was just a day to day thing. Then it became a soap opera. Now why has my life become a comic strip??? lol I love "Jane's World". It reflects my life so well. ha ha "Jane' World" is a kewl and refreshing change from the other comic strips and I'm glad I found her.

Keep up the good work, Ms. Braddock!!!

I love this big-breast thing! You should have Jane and her friends go swimming, then we won't just see the d-cups, but the cleavage too! Have them wear bikinis!

Got a few days behind...

The boobification was just nuts... Really enjoyed seeing Jane's reactions!
It was almost like the desert island Amazons thread! And just as enjoyable
too!

Gosh Paige, where DO you come up with this stuff!

Where ever it is, just keep it coming! :)

Cheers,

Dave
