jane is wonderful i love the portrayal of lesbians it
brings a breath of
fresh air to the comic world it makes me happy knowing
there are still some
good stuff in this world that gives good portrayals of
lesbians today and
its good for teenagers trying to become more comfortable
with themselves and
give them a smile stretched from ear to ear

I love the artwork of Dorothy as Venus. That is very
funny. Isn't it about
time that Jane got hooked up, though? This eternal
frustration can't be
good for her.
A VERY funny strip. Very human. Stay with it.

Love Jane's World. The drawing is exquisite, the stories
are -- well,
pretty far out sometimes, I mean, that whole episode
with the hunters' trailer and
the river and bullets flying -- but nevertheless
excellent.
I'm moved to write today to tell you I think that Jane's
face underwater (in
her dream in today's strip) is a stroke of genius. That
little pursed,
holding-her-breath-mouth is perfect. Thanks for a great,
wonderfully drawn
strip.

Well, well...a friend forwarded me this address and I
got to instantly enjoy
the adventures of Jane and her friends...what a
delightful group of
intelligently written misfits, and so well rounded. I
simply must make this
Jane more into a habit. Bravo!

I am not sure just how one compliments an artist who
does the kind of work
you do --
So much is written about the challenges the world
presents. I enjoy your
work with the more complex problems we present
ourselves.
I have a close friend whose world views, fashion sense,
haircut, and
overwhelming sense of confusion are much like Jane's.
Thanks for many bright spots brought to my world by your
work.
I sincerely hope no one decides the subject is too
strange. In my opinion it
is too normal for the comics!
When do we get a book?

Dear Jane (c/o Paige Braddock),
I quite assure you that those of us who are '3's aren't
"mostly straight"
and don't want to "just cuddle!" Although it seems that
you're finding that
out, aren't you?
(Actually, I'm rather glad to see this idea expressed in
a newspaper comic.
I mean most of the world doesn't seem to be able to get
past the binary notion
of gay / straight -- even the part of the world that
happens to be gay often
has difficult with those of us who play the game by our
own rules. Thank
you very much for showing characters that are firmly
bisexual!)

LOVE the strip!
Please don't let Jane miss out on the sleepover. She
needs it bad! Poor girl
keeps seeing all the satisfied girl friends all around
her, and she never
gets to jump in. I think all the guests should pay
their respects to the host.
Then make her breakfast in bed.
Does Jane's life mirror anyone in particular?
Thanks again,
Bill
