Main characters: JANE Jane's life was pretty normal until that fateful day when, while driving through central Oklahoma, she and two of her pals were abducted by aliens. Getting sucked up into a flying saucer turned into a life-altering experience for Jane. She got fired from her job at the paper and is now working nights at the corner quickie mart. It could be worse... her personal life could suck... oh, yeah... it kinda does.  Currently she is in a NON-relationship with a woman, rumored to be a vampire.   ETHAN At first glance, you might think Ethan is an incredibly liberal guy... I mean, finding a way to integrate a wardrobe that consists solely of flannel shirts, and a lesbian roommate... not exactly an equation for attracting women. But, you know, life is where you find yourself... and what are you going to do if your best friend happens to be Jane? Just deal with it.   DOROTHY Dorothy is by far the smartest member of the Jane's World cast. Having a PhD in English however, has so far meant only that she's able to bring sparkling, insightful conversation to her career in the coffee service industry. Dorothy has been a little occupied with things other than career anyway lately. She has discovered that her dating tastes aren't always gender-specific, which can lead to a myriad of complications.   BUD Bud Lucky recently moved to be near his cousin Jane. Actually, Jane had nothing to do with the move, but somehow they've ended up in the same town. Bud's idea of a good time is lounging in a folding chair in his driveway with a cold beverage. You might consider Bud to be downwardly mobile if he'd ever actually been upwardly mobile. As it stands now, his job at the gas station is pretty much a lateral move from all the high school shop classes he slept through.   CHELLE A special assignment writer at the paper where Jane used to be employed. Chelle is the dark side... rumored to be a vampire.  Supporting cast: DORRIE The voice of reason when it comes to relationships, Dorrie is Jane's reality check.   NATALIE Twenty-one year-old lethal trainee at the Quicki-Mart.   DIXIE Southern gal, turned chimp and back again. (It's kind of a long story and involves a close encounter of the third kind.)
